MASSIVE for Opening Ceremony - Art by Jiraiya
MASSIVE GOODS is a fashion brand, publisher, and creative agency representing queer and feminist artists from Japan. MASSIVE’s mission is to spread iconoclastic artwork addressing gender and sexuality to new audiences and new forms, from museum walls to bodies everywhere.
As the creative director of MASSIVE from 2013-2018, I had the opportunity to design clothing and create books in collaboration with a number of extraordinary Japanese artists including Gengoroh Tagame, Jiraiya, Seizoh Ebisubashi, and Rokudenashiko. Along with my co-founder at MASSIVE, Anne Ishii, I've also had the privilege of introducing these artists' work to new contexts by working with fashion brands like Opening Ceremony and Mishka and organizing events across North America at museums, book stores, universities, art book fairs, and comic conventions.
